That's because he never set foot on the Southern Illinois University campus where he earned a bachelor's degree in industrial technology in 1991. Hornibrook was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force at the time and took classes on weekends with European-based SIU professors to earn that degree. And don't look for him to cause a stir at East Carolina University, where he earned his master's degree, or Indiana State University, where he's currently studying for a Ph.D. The reason is Hornibrook has been taking classes via the Internet instead of in a classroom....
