The article in [T.H.E. Journal's] August 2001 issue, "Online Lectures: Benefits for the Virtual Classroom" (online at http://www.thejournal.com/magazine/vault/A3562.cfm) is so wrong it was shocking. It's unbelievable that the authors write about how asynchronous communication " ... limits the type and amount of communication between instructor and student."...
