Despite school closing, online colleges beckon Cyberspace market expected to grow

Harcourt Higher Education was always a school without classrooms, but dozens of students enrolled in its Internet-based courses will be without their virtual desks this fall.... But while some Internet bubbles may be bursting, online education in general is still luring students, said Oakleigh Thorne, chief executive officer of Denver-based eCollege, which offers software and Web space to schools, but does not operate its own program. The online education market is expected to balloon to more than $7 billion in the next two years....
