With National e-University, Britain Gets in the Online-Education Game

Little is known about the cooperative effort, and some major players remain on the sidelines. So little is known about the British government's plan for a national Internet university that it reminds some higher-education officials here of a current cultural phenomenon of a different sort. "It is a bit like waiting for the new Harry Potter film," says Neil Gregory, the head of the research and projects division at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
