Hamill, Tribune staff reporter Patrick Knott insists that so far, nobody has given him a hard time about earning his doctorate on the Internet. There have been no jokes about how many box tops it took or what comic book he ordered it from. "My colleagues were just real supportive," said Knott, chairman of the physician assistant program at Finch University of Health Sciences in North Chicago, who graduated last month with a PhD in organization and management.... Online universities are part of the "distant learning" explosion....
