One key to the magic, according to Robert Baker, is having the right technology tools. At CCDS, those tools are Windows 8 Tablet PCs. “If you purchase tablet PCs you really can have it all,” he says. “Tablets are the hands-down best way to affect teaching and learning. They create an open, powerful learning environment because they give teachers the option to use whatever tool makes the most sense, whether it’s touch, keyboard, pen, or a combination. That’s powerful.”
