Ask My Millennial: Google and you - moving beyond the simple search - Olivia Pulsinelli, Saginaw News
On its Web site, Google says, “Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration.”It’s like some remote-work software I’ve seen — with e-mail and chat windows and the ability to view a document with different users at the same time — but without limitations. Users are uninhibited by their operating system because everything takes place within your Web browser. Also, instead of limiting users to communicating with their co-workers (as remote-work software does), Google Wave lets you interact with practically anyone — your co-workers, clients or family members.
Comments:
How do I get on Google Wave? I want to see what you see. My Azusa Pacific University instructor wants his students to get on the Google wave.

Google Wave is in restricted beta now. But, there are many invitations available. Ask on Twitter or search for reputable sites that are giving away invitations. Your instructor is right! There are great opportunities for collaboration using Wave. It is going to become an important teaching tool. -ray Educational Technology News Blog Archives OTEL - Ray's Home Page - Notebook - UIS Online - U of I Online - UIS Home Fair Use |
