High-tech learning becoming the norm - Jodie Garcia, The Ottawa Herald, Kan.
Move over, pencils, notebook paper and chalkboards. You're old school. Traditional, low-tech classroom tools are being overshadowed as such technology as laptop computers, wireless systems, projectors and other gadgets continue to pop up in Ottawa classrooms. Dennis George, school board president and a member of the district's technology committee, said Ottawa definitely measures up to similarly sized districts in terms of its technology. ''I think we've made a big commitment in technology," he said.
