Districts say embracing gadgets can help students excel.By Melanie BurneyInquirer Staff WriterWhen Domenick Renzi's students get ready for language arts, they pull out their books and their handheld computers. The fifth graders at Washington Township's Bells Elementary in Gloucester County are using the gadgets in a yearlong pilot project. "They're really cool. It makes the class fun," said Julianne Costa, 10. School districts across the region are finding new ways to incorporate into the classroom the latest technology - handhelds like Palm Pilots, wireless laptops, and iPods.
