Volunteering could be required for virtual students - KIRSTEN KOROSEC - GM Today

Students in the district’s new virtual high school might have to complete a service learning course to graduate. The district’s curriculum and instruction committee approved Tuesday a proposed set of graduation requirements for the new school. The school board still has to give final approval. The new virtual high school, iQ Academies at Waukesha, is a joint effort between the Waukesha School District and KC Distance Learning. The school will begin in the fall. The proposed graduation requirements for the virtual school would be similar to the rest of the district.
