Student-run camp lets teachers learn about technology - Liza Roche, Courier-News

Elgin High School math teacher Mary Aydt sat in front of her computer Wednesday, filling in potential subjects for a computerized version of Jeopardy!, while a handful of students from her school looked at the screen over her shoulder. But unlike most days in the traditional school year, the students were in charge, not Aydt. The teacher was participating in Elgin School District U46's first Tech Camp, a one-week summer offering that allows U46 teachers to learn about various computer applications, digital cameras and other types of technology — all through the guidance of tech-savvy EHS students.
