Don't let our state tune out technology classes - Thomas A. Frawley , Post-Standard

New York is the only state that requires the study of technology in middle school. But that is in jeopardy as the Regents seek to scale it back - and cast aside the personal and social development of many students.... In some states, kids start learning about technology in kindergarten. In years to come, technology courses will be part of the core curriculum, right alongside math, English, social studies, science and foreign languages. The goal of studying technology is to help students develop technological literacy as part of their fundamental education.
