Cyberschools fill the gap - JEREMY LOOME, Edmonton Sun

If you just looked at their test scores, you'd think online high schools were Net losers. Two cyber highs included in this year's Fraser Institute's northern Alberta high school rankings fared poorly when compared with standardized tests at regular schools. But their principals say it's an apples and oranges comparison. Many of their students only attend cyberhighs because they can't go to a normal school, due to work or family commitments. Some only take single courses, helping fill gaps in their curriculum at other local schools or getting the few extra courses they've been missing for years.
