....Not worrying about appearances is a perk of having English class in your bedroom. P.J., a 16-year-old junior, is among a small number of Bexar County students enrolled in an experimental virtual school, where the majority of lessons are taught via the Internet and teachers' e-mail assignments. Some Texas lawmakers want to fund more free, computer-based schools that students attend from home, but critics question whether it's fiscally prudent and whether such programs provide a quality education.
