Commission to focus on distance learning
The status and the future of distance learning for Nebraska students will become a focus for the Nebraska Public Service Commission in the next several weeks. The Commission opened an investigation Tuesday into distance learning following contact from school superintendents, principals, and students with concerns about the system currently in place to provide educational opportunities across the state... Distance learning links students who wish to study subjects that might not otherwise be offered through their local school. Nebraska’s telecommunications system provides the network that carries the two-way signals between cooperating educational institutions.
