Challenging gifted students - David Atchison
...Thanks to technology, gifted high school students may get a boost in their curriculum through their distant learning lab. Pell City will offer college courses, not only to gifted students, but to all high school students who plan to attend college, through its high-speed wire connection with local colleges."We're talking to some of the universities now," said Michael Barber, assistant superintendent of Pell City schools. "The opportunities are so vast. This will not only help the students but the teachers." Pell City teachers will also be able to take advanced college courses and participate in teacher certification programs.
