Awards of Excellence Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence in Education Technology - Kristen Kennedy and Iris Obille Lafferty, Ed.D.
This year, more than 25 teacher-judges chose 27 winners from 115 software and Web-based products. The selection of two guidance programs as top winners-each designed to help kids make sense of the violence they see and experience in the media and at school-says a lot about what's on the minds of teachers who returned to classrooms this fall looking for a way to guide their students' understanding of the events of September 11th. And with educators eager to deliver more and better instruction in core curriculum areas to meet the demands of No Child Left Behind, science and language arts offerings garnered the most winning votes. There's certainly something for everyone here, as judges' selections represent a full spectrum of award-winning curriculum and administrative programs.
