Arkansas High School Online Learning Becomes A Reality - Kurt Voigt, Morning News
The Rogers School District and at least two students schooled at home within the district will be part of an online learning community known as the Arkansas Virtual School, beginning next month. The state-run program, funded by a federal grant, will allow home-schoolers to study at home yet will require them to be counted as part of the school district in which they live. Only 450 students will be selected to the program, and they will receive free tuition and a computer to work on at home via the grant money.
