Fingerprint Replaces Lunch Money by ANICA BUTLER, Courant Staff Writer
During lunch at Parker Memorial School recently, students filled their foam trays with pizza, pink applesauce and chocolate milk, then shuffled to the end of the line. When they got there, a few dumped coins or crinkled bills on the counter. But most simply stuck out their finger and placed it on a small black scanner to be identified. Seconds later, the cost of their lunch was debited from an account set up by their parents.
