Experience is something you undergo, it is not an accumulation of experiences. In September 2000, teachers in the province of Alberta, Canada, began the three-year implementation process for an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Program of Studies (Alberta Learning, 2000) with kindergarten to grade 12 students. This innovative curriculum, demanding the effective infusion of technology for communicating, inquiring, problem-solving and decision-making in core curricula, puts Alberta at the forefront in terms of what it means for students to think and learn with the full range of digital technologies that are so much a part of today's changed—and changing—world....
