Grades offered online, by phone - High school joins middle school system in which parents can access information

Avon High School plans to follow in the technology footsteps of Avon Middle School and implement a new electronic system to monitor students' grades. High schoolers and their parents will be able to access grades via the Internet and telephone next school year. The automated system will enable parents and students to obtain grades and progress reports that will be updated every three weeks, said Principal Tom Wachnicki. "We're doing it to help make information more accessible to parents," Wachnicki said. "It's one way to save money, and it will be more convenient for parents. That's the big thing."...
