How does this definition of a technology integrated curriculum relate to your own definition of a technology integrated curriculum? "A technology integrated curriculum uses computers effectively and efficiently in the general content areas (e.g., science, history, English) to allow students to learn how to apply computer skills in meaningful ways" (Dockstader, 1999, p.73). Three teachers agreed that this definition of a technology integrated curriculum was adequate. Seven of the ten teachers thought the definition needed something more added to it. The Dockstader definition seems to focus on using computers in subject areas for the sake of learning technology skills. The definition was considered too limiting, and the teachers thought it should include other forms of technology such as VCRs, videos, etc. . . . rather than solely emphasizing the computer. One teacher believes that the definition should include classroom modeling, where teachers are actively using technology in lessons....
