Kids to clue in lawmakers on technology

Many of Illinois' brightest young minds will travel to the state Capitol in Springfield next week to show lawmakers the importance of technology in classrooms. Students from every senatorial district will participate in Tech2002, a demonstration of how students use information technology to learn skills to help them succeed. Nearly 140 public schools will be represented at the demonstration. Michael Warner of Glenbard High School District 87, who has been on the steering committee for the technology showcase since its inception 11 years ago, said the show is always a success....
