http://clear.cps.k12.il.us/ Chicago Public Schools Rolls out Project Clear The CPS Office of Technology Services is pleased to announce a comprehensive initiative designed to further our goal of integrating technology in all of our educational processes. The initiative, called CLEAR, stands for Chicago Public Schools Laptop, E-mail, Anti-virus Rollout. One of the key initiatives outlined in the Technology In the Service of Teaching & Learning Plan, which was developed by the Chicago Public Schools’ eBrigade, was the development of a program to provide access to technology and information by CPS high school teachers. This project is a major step toward achieving that objective. The initiative began April 2, 2002, with a rollout of computers. By the end of May 2002, more than 6000 Chicago high school principals, teachers and technology coordinators will be working with new laptop computers loaded with helpful software and classroom tools....
