Apple Releases New $1,000 Computer Limited to Education Market

On Monday, Apple Computer released a new, cheaper computer in an attempt to regain and retain school and college customers, who have been gradually moving to inexpensive PC's. The new computer, called the eMac, costs about $1,000 and features the same processing power found in some of the more expensive iMacs. However, the eMac features fewer bells and whistles -- the capabilities of the disk drive are more limited, for example -- and is bulkier than the new iMac, which features a flat screen....
