Ray Schroeder's "Communicating Through the Internet" has been one of the most useful courses I have ever taken. The material is comprehensive, detailed, and, much to my surprise, entertaining. Through knowledge I gained in the course, I was able to much more easily complete the requirements of all of my other UIS coursework, and, in one specific case, completely do a research project from my apartment. I heard just today that Shaquille O'Neal has completed his bachelor of arts degree in the state of Louisiana and that he was able to do that because of online coursework. We all know that Shaq did not really have an economic need to acquire a bachelor's degree in anything, but it was noted on this particular radio announcement that they felt it was a great example that he had set by this accomplishment. Online education is here, when more people catch on to its power to impact their lives, you will see more and more cyber students.

I am finishing this class in Houston, TX while in temporary residence here at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Care Center while my daughter endures radiation treatment. Thank you for providing this avenue to stay on track while still being able to be here for my family.

I think that Blackboard tools are awkward to access and understand. that, however is not this instructor's fault. It is a Blackboard problem.
I think that both Ray and Burks show an exceptional interest in their students and the course. They have also demonstrated patience beyond belief.
I would love to take the course again -- except for the fee.
