I set up my mom’s new iPhone recently, while she sat alongside me and watched. At some point in the setup process, it asks if you want to enable Cloud backup. She looked totally confused and asked ‘what’s a cloud’? While I’m willing to bet that most of Edudemic’s readers are way ahead of my mom in understanding what the cloud is, I’m also willing to guess that most readers can’t talk about what the cloud is being used for aside from a general description of ‘data storage’.
