Teenagers helped design Bedford’s new library, so it’s no surprise that the Teen Room is nowhere near the Children’s Area. Library Manager Maria Redburn said that 14 focus groups were responsible for coming up with a design for the former Food Lion grocery store at 2424 Forest Ridge Drive. When the pencils were put down, the teens’ layout was the obvious winner, Redburn said. Residents have been going on tours of the library, which is scheduled to open in early February.
