Nokia Announces First WiMAX Handheld - Sascha Segan, PC Magazine
Sprint 's XOHM WiMAX network may not be live yet, but it already has a cool new gadget. Enter the new Nokia N810 Internet Tablet WiMAX Edition, released by Nokia today at the CTIA Wireless trade show. The N810 WiMAX Edition looks just like the Wi-Fi-equipped N810 that's currently on sale, but it has a hump on the back for the WiMAX antenna. Like the previous N810, it's an odd duck: a Linux-based tablet with a 4.1-inch, 800 by 480-pixel screen that has a bunch of Internet applications and a slide-out keyboard. It doesn't have a cell phone in it, though you can do Web browsing, e-mail, IM, and Skype calling. The Web browser has Flash support, and there's also GPS on board.
