Congressional offices have significantly improved their sites

Congressional offices have significantly improved their sites over the past year. In a comprehensive evaluation of all 610 congressional Member, standing committee, and leadership Web sites, 50% of all congressional Web sites received grades of A or B, five times more than in 2002. The best congressional Web sites have both increased in number and significantly improved in quality in less than a year. So many offices have improved their Web sites that the number of Congress Online Mouse Awards more than doubled - from 35 last year to 75 this year. The 2003 Mouse Award winners exceeded the standards set by last year's winners. These sites should serve as models to congressional offices seeking to improve their Web-based communications with their constituents.
