Purdue cracks down on downloading - Jenny Jones, Purdue Exponent
Students downloading copyrighted material through Purdue's computer network may soon be penalized for their actions. With the recent flare of copyright infringement allegations, the University is cracking down on illegal downloading by sending out letters or making phone calls to students, warning them that downloading copyrighted materials, such as music, movies and games, is against University policy — not to mention the law.
