Over 36 million DSL lines worldwide
Point-Topic estimates that the number of DSL lines worldwide almost doubled in 2002, from 18.8 million to 36.3 million. According to new research from the company, 5.7 million DSL lines were added around the world during the fourth quarter of 2002. The fastest growth was recorded in Western Europe where the increase averaged 28.5 percent in the latter part of last year.
