...Genetic programming uses the principles of evolution and natural selection -- such as reproduction, mutation, and extinction -- to solve complex problems in a variety of disciplines such as design and electronics. It has already created software that can intelligently evolve itself to solve business problems as sophisticated as patents. Whats amazing is that often the solutions are more effective than human-conceived solutions, indeed more effective than we can even imagine.
