Self-healing computers seen as better fix - Jon Van, Chicago Tribune
When it comes to caring for people, computers are aces. They help physicians diagnose cancer, track drug prescription records and even watch sleeping babies to assure their safety. But computers don't do enough to take care themselves. Networks require so much care that the costs of human management are outrunning budgets for new technology. It is time, say computer scientists, that computers learn to heal themselves.
