Colleges crack down on downloading - Paul Chronis, Central Wisconsin Sunday
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students are free to download music off the Internet, although officials say they will step in if they find out it's being done illegally. The downloading of music continues to grow in popularity, even as the recording and movie industry is suing to shut down Kazaa and other sites used to trade copyrighted material. Much of the downloading occurs over university-controlled servers, the recording industry contends.
