Top Ten Trends 2003 - Eric W. Pfeiffer, Red Herring
The Red Herring predicts the business of emerging technology in it's sixth annual top ten trends list.... A few of this year's trends have something else in common: September 11. Biotechnology will get an added boost from the federal dollars pouring in (but not in the way you might think), and as the push for security accelerates, look for the rise of a new breed of computer chip with built-in security features. Also, in the coming year, look for us to miss the mark on a few of our predictions--after all, this is the shakin', quakin' tech sector.
