Judge orders Madster to disable servers - MICHAEL HILL, Associated Press

Saying Madster continues to violate copyright law despite a preliminary injunction, a federal judge ordered the file-sharing service to immediately disable its servers. U.S. District Judge Marvin Aspen in Chicago issued the command Monday in a temporary restraining order. The judge had already issued a preliminary injunction against Madster on Oct. 30 after finding evidence the Albany-based service violated copyright law. Madster, like Napster before it, allows users to swap music files.
