Key telecommunications regulator in China stepping down - Associated Press

China's top telecommunications regulator, who has been viewed as delaying market reforms, is to step down from a key post, an official newspaper reported Wednesday. Wu Jichuan, 65, will give up the job of Communist Party secretary of the Ministry of Information Industry to Wang Xudong, party secretary of Hebei province, according to the People's Post and Telecommunications, the ministry's newspaper. The report did not say when the change would take place.
