1024 x 768 Internet users resolution of choice
New research from OneStat.com indicates that 1024 x 768 is the most popular screen resolution for exploring the Internet. Approximately 46.1 percent of Internet users around the world set their screen resolution at 1024 x 768 pixels. This compares with 34.3 percent of Internet users who set their resolution at 800 x 600 pixels.
