Now, a new supercomputer at Louisiana State University will provide an additional defense against these storms. Hurricane modeling and storm surge modeling are just a few of the applications that will be possible thanks to the supercomputer's power. The university hopes the new machine will strengthen ongoing research at LSU, attract top faculty and researchers and boost economic development in the state....
