AS XML STEADILY works its way into the fabric of enterprise applications, a growing number of startups are rising to manage the proliferation of XML traffic across corporate networks. Swingtide, Sarvega, DataPower, Quadrasis, Tarari, and Forum Systems are helping enterprises manage and secure the movement of XML data over networks. Many of the new technologies under development can peer deeply into SOAP and other packets containing XML data moving across a network, parse the data, and make security and routing decisions based on the content -- no trivial accomplishment....
