Hong Kong Tops the Global Broadband Charts

According to a new global Internet trends survey from Nielsen/Netratings, Hong Kong currently leads the world in terms of having the greatest number of high-speed Internet connections on a per capita basis. Two thirds of the Internet audience in Hong Kong uses either a cable modem or high-speed telephone connection to access the Internet, a rating that outstraps what other major Internet markets have achieved to date. In addition, the Nielsen//NetRatings Second Quarter 2002 Global Internet Trends report also found that a total of 553 million people worldwide now have Internet access from home, marking a relatively flat four percent growth rate as compared to the previous quarter....
