Developers looking for web services guideposts before they begin writing code are about to have a full suite of web services specifications and patterns they can use. The W3C (Worldwide Web Consortium) is in the home stretch on setting the scope and definition for the two key protocols that will define web services -- SOAP and WSDL. Within just the last few weeks, the W3C has ended its review period for the “Last Call for Working Drafts” for numerous SOAP 1.2 specs, and issued the “Last Calls for WSDL 1.2 Working Drafts”....
