Digital divide alive and well for US children

Jul 08 2002: ElectricNews.Net reports that 68 percent of US children from households that earn USD 75,000 a year or more, have access to the Internet. This compares with just 14 percent of children in households earning less than USD15,000, according to a new study by the American charity, Annie E. Casey Foundation. The report found that around 95 percent of children from households that earn USD 75, 000 or more have access to a computer, compared to 33 percent of children from households earning less than USD15,000....
