Review: Bluetooth not for beginners

NEW YORK, July 5 — Take away the cord, and the handyman’s drill gets a lot handier. The same thing goes for computers. Get rid of the power cord, the printer cable and the modem line and your computer just got more valuable. In tests of a laptop, a printer, a handheld computer and a phone enabled with Bluetooth wireless technology, I did just that. It worked most of the time, but it’s not for beginners — yet. Developers have now finally added Bluetooth to enough gadgets to make it a viable technology. Maybe I should say somewhat viable....
