Forbes.com “Technology Survey 2002”

The online survey, conducted by Insight Express on behalf of Forbes.com, looked at C-level executives’ attitudes about technology and expectations for future corporate investments in information technologies. Some highlights:
Compared to three years ago, C-level executives (CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, etc) are more involved in technology investment decision-making; both C-level executives and non-C-level respondents place more emphasis on technology business solutions.
69% of C-level executives expect to increase their company’s tech investment in the next 12 months, and 66% want measurable ROI (return on investment) within a year.
57% of C-level executives said that their firm’s top tech executives report to the CEO, and 29% said that they need approval from their board of directors for investments in technology....
