http://chronicle.com/free/2002/04/2002040501t.htm Anonymous Racist E-Mail Floods a College Campus DAN CARNEVALE An anonymous person has used public computers at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to send more than 100 racist and hate-filled e-mail messages over the past year, prompting efforts by administrators and police officials to track down the culprit. Messages "ranting" against minorities and women have been sent to students, professors, and staff members at the university, says Karen M. Whitney, vice chancellor for student life and diversity and dean of students. The e-mail messages have not made any specific threats, but their hateful tone has caused discomfort on the campus and has been disruptive, she says....
