Half a billion online

Mar 08 2002: There are now almost half a billion people with Internet access around the world, reports ZDNet UK. According to Nielsen NetRatings, 498 million people had home Internet access by the end of last year, up 5.1 percent from July/September. Forty percent of home users were in North America, 27 percent were in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and 22 percent were in Asia....
