Illinois) (U-WIRE) CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Most people know of the six degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon, but now University of Illinois students can discover their own six degrees on campus. Senior in engineering Isaac Oates is conducting a study using America Online Instant Messenger. Students who submit their "buddy lists" to a Web site can view a visual representation of their connections to other students on campus. So far, word of mouth has spread the study to 1,700 students....
