Illinois) (U-WIRE) CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Internet freedom for students has not always been easy -- they have dealt with daily download limits and slow connections. But downloading just got harder. At the University of Illinois, all computer applications that use connections port 1214 were restricted to a transfer limit of two megabyts per second as of Dec. 1, slowing downloading significantly. The download and upload rate depends on the number of students accessing it at a single time: A smaller number of students accessing the port will result in a faster rate than if there is larger number of students accessing it....
